Our Story

Animals have long played a meaningful role in our lives. Co-founder Natalie has adopted three dogs from the Newington Humane Society, fostered a dog through Monkey’s Pack Rescue, and cared for several stray cats. Co-founder Kathleen is the proud owner of two rabbits. Their mutual passion for animal welfare motivated them to take action.

ToyZ4TailZ was established in 2021 as part of a community service initiative for the Wethersfield High School National Honor Society. Recognizing the critical needs of local animal shelters, Natalie and Kathleen organized a drop-off donation drive to collect essential supplies such as pet food, toys, beds, and crates. The fundraiser received an enthusiastic response from the community, prompting the founders to continue the initiative on an annual basis.

2021 Fundraiser

This was our drop-off collection location in 2021.

Even with COVID-19 and adhering to local policies, we and the community were still able to donate to the animals!

This was the donation after the drop-off days in 2021. This photo does not include the 7 dog beds also donated.

Although we graduated high school, we wanted to continue to help the animals and organizations nearby. We decided to annually run this fundraiser.

2022 Fundraiser

We hosted this fundraiser once again at Wethersfield High School, just like in 2021. The photos above show the generous donations we collected and delivered to the Newington Humane Society—surpassing the amount we received in the previous year.

2023 Fundraiser

In 2023, we held our fundraiser outside Pet Supplies Plus in Wethersfield, CT, allowing us to connect with more local pet owners and supporters.

2024 Fundraiser

In 2024, we continued hosting our fundraiser outside Pet Supplies Plus in Wethersfield and gained even more traction—collecting more donations and supplies than ever before. We're excited to carry this momentum into the upcoming year and continue making an impact.
